Artist, Teresa Hunyadi, in cooperation with Lynn Cowan, will introduce some of her recent carvings in a handling session, and discuss the use of wood in creating these pieces, providing a rare chance to explore the feel of the different masks, their wood and forms, experience the acoustic of some carving techniques, and meet the artist. In the past two years Teresa’s finely finished works have been directed towards figurative masks in the form of animal heads.
The sculptures will be presented in the Research Space, Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop, 21 Hawthornvale, Edinburgh EH6 4JT. The Research Space was recently split into two smaller spaces and refurbished, providing a welcoming and flexible social / meeting space; and a clear, white space for Member-led artist projects.
You can to arrange to be met at the ESW entrance or a nearby bus stop – served by buses 7, 10, 11, 16.
