National Galleries of Scotland

The Scottish National Galleries are one of the best collections of fine art in the world, housed across 4 buildings in Edinburgh. The Gallery on the Mound presents the national collection of fine art from the early Renaissance to the end of the nineteenth century as well as special exhibitions.  The National Galleries offer a wide choice of public tours, talks, events and artist led workshops.   As well as a public programme, there are tailored events for visitors with sight loss, hearing loss and people with dementia.  The galleries also offer bespoke events to community groups and schools.

Admission is free although a charge may be made for special exhibitions.

A free Gallery Bus takes visitors from the Scottish National Gallery to the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art and back again.  This service operates hourly between 11am and 4pm.
